Tumblr Etiquette, or How Not To Be A Shitty Blog

Teaching you how to be a better blogger, one post at a time.

This is not a tech support blog, please do not ask why this or that feature works or doesn't work a certain way.

Anonymous asked: What do you think of image-heavy tumblrs which don't show the 500px versions of photos and instead loads them automatically in hi-res? (I don't mean only when someone clicks on them, I mean the hi-res versions load by themselves in the pages.) Is that unbelievably rude to users with slow Internet connections or do you think that's fine if you're, say, a professional photography blog? Or is wanting to showcase photos in all their immediate 1280px-sized detailed glory no excuse?

I honestly have no opinion on them one way or the other.
