Well, with the way images get around, images saved to weheartit usually end up being credited to a random blog rather than the real source. I’ve not looked at the controversy much myself, but I can only assume the whole lack of proper credit thing is the main reason people are upset. If anyone who actually knows what’s going on better than I do wants to chime in, please feel free. > >

That sums up the problem quite well, actually. Weheartit seems like a great way to find interesting images on the internet, but some people would prefer that their content be properly sourced, and weheartit often makes that difficult.
