Anonymous asked: I read a tumblr and was reading some old posts from a few weeks ago. It would take forever to get those on my dashboard so I did it directly from their blog. I don't see a reblog button there so does that mean I can't reblog it? If I want it on my blog would i have to make it a whole new post and if so would that be against some kind of etiquette because it was a picture they posted and to be respectful I'd have to reblog it?

I’ve noticed it’s a small but slowly growing trend to not have the follow/reblog buttons on one’s blog. I don’t really understand why, but some people do it. I do encourage reblogging over reposting, but when the reblog option simply isn’t there, what can you really do but repost? If I found myself stuck in that situation I think I’d end up reposting with obvious credit there.
